Nylon -CAST Nylon 6, UNFILLED - Sheets, Rods & Tubes So what makes nylon suitable for so many applications? A quick look at the material's basic properties compared to other common materials shows why. Nylon has excellent tensile and compressive strength, good wear properties and is an excellent electrical insulator. It can also be modified to improve just about any individual property; plasticizers improve impact strength, lubricants reduce coefficient of friction, anti-oxidizers improve operating temperature range, glass fibers improve rigidity, other additives allow the use of colored nylons in direct food contact applications.

Nylon is prone to water absorption & should not be used in high-humidity or underwater applications.

For any content that you submit, you grant Professional Plastics a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you.
All content that you submit may be used at Professional Plastics's sole discretion. Professional Plastics reserves the right to change, condense or delete any content on Professional Plastics' website that Professional Plastics deems, in its sole discretion, to violate the content guidelines or any other provision of these Terms of Use.
